Trip to NYC

On the weekend of November 16th and 17th (as well as Monday the 18th), I went on the trip to NYC organized by CiSA. We had free time on Saturday and Sunday to explore the city, and then on Monday we visited the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan. During the weekend, my friend and I explored plenty of bookstores and shops, walked through Central Park, and saw many landmarks. On Monday, when we went to the UN, we got to look through the lobby and then have a guided tour. Though I already knew most of the information presented during the tour because of my international law class, it was still really interesting to concretely see what I had learned about. We unfortunately weren't able to see the Security Council because there was a meeting being held, but we got to walk through the Trusteeship Council and the ECOSOC Council, as well as the General Assembly. It was really impressive to see the General Assembly in real life after seeing so many pictures of it! Overall, I really enjoyed this trip to New York.
